Visa Process for the Digital Production for Entertainment Program

All Applicants will receive our admission decision via email.

Upon acceptance, students will receive a confirmation of acceptance that must be returned to Gnomon, along with a $75 registration fee. Once all paperwork is in order, Gnomon will issue a USCIS Form I-20. This I-20 will be sent to you via FedEx. A digital copy will be sent via email.

The I-20 form issued by Gnomon will be registered with SEVIS online so that you may proceed with the following steps:

  1. Submit Certificate of Eligibility form (I – 901) to US Customs and Immigration online. This is required before you can apply for a visa at the embassy. After paying, you can either print out a receipt, or one will be mailed to you. You must obtain this receipt at least 3 days before your visa appointment.
  2. Contact a US Embassy to make an appointment to apply for an M-1 student visa. Take your I-20 eligibility form to your appointment. When you contact them to make your appointment, ask what documents you will need to bring with you. It may take awhile to obtain the visa; it is a good idea to start this process as early as possible to ensure you will be prepared when school starts. To get an estimate of how long it will take you to get an appointment and to receive your visa visit www.travel.state.gov.
